Harry Potter Analysis
A Brief Analysis of Harry Potter
Before Twilight reared its ugly head into the literary world of popular fiction and claimed its rightful place as the Fuhrer of Horrible Literature there was Eragon, and before Eragon there was Harry Potter. The Harry Potter series started back in 1997 when author J. K. Rowling published the first of its seven volumes, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Since then the fan base and popularity of the series has grown to ridiculous lengths, to the point where children dressing up in pointed hats and wizard robes claim that it's a future literary classic. While Harry Potter is not quite as horrible as its suc
Twilight: A Critical Literary Analysis
In 2005 Stephanie Meyer's book Twilight was published and found itself on the New York Times Bestseller list. Since then it spawned three sequels New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn and they have inexplicably become one of modern literature's biggest cash cows. However Twilight and its sequels are just awful books, and that's why I've taken it upon myself to explain just how poorly constructed these novels are. Stephenie Meyer's use of language is bland and excessive in its detail, and it worsens when she tries to pepper in fancy thesaurus-words but uses them erroneously. Her prose is plagued with dial

Top 25 Most Annoying Anime Cliches
I don't hate ALL anime, but the ones I've watches really turned me off to this genre. Granted, I adore Studio Ghibli, Akira, Cowboy Bebop, Makato Shinkai, Satoshi Kon, among a few other outstanding Japanese animations. Still, some of my friends recommended me to shows that made me sorta despise this style of animation, so I decided to make a list of annoying anime clichés. If this offends anime fans out there, I do apologize. I guess these little nitpicky things are just not my cup of tea. ^^;
1. Blushing Cheeks
This trope bugs me for some reason because it's over-used.
I like when the edges are softer like this:

Mary-Sues: Things You Need to Know and What to Do If You See Them
Mary-sues, Martha-sues, Marty-stus, Larry-Stus and Gary-Stus, we will all come across them at one point. Most of us have heard of them, some have been violently accused of making them via flaming, and others are still naïve to the terms. While people who have been on writing sites for years absolutely loathe them, most are inconsistent with an all-around definition. A majority claim that Mary-Sues are characters that are absolutely perfect in every shape, form and personality, while others just say that they are characters that are just too powerful, unique, or are so
How to Review Character Sheets
Everyone has there own way of making character sheets, whether you include them in stories, or just keep them as personal references. Some deem the looks more of a top priority than the skills or hobbies. Most include the “Likes and Dislikes” tab while others forgo it altogether. For describing how to analyze character sheets, I will be using my own personal template as an example.
Character sheets aren’t needed. If you include it, it’s usually the first sign of underdevelopment.
That’s not necessarily true. Lots of people make character sheets wheth
Character Cliches to Avoid (Like the Plague)
This tutorial-suggestion love child will be split into two parts :: 1 for cliches that should NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVUR be done by anyone, and the second part being ones that shouldn't be done by beginning writers.
Section One: The Black Plague
These are character cliches that are so overdone that they should NEVER be done anymore. EVER.
Underdeveloped Characters
Not a lot to say on this one. There's nothing worse than reading a piece of writing though with a main character or side character that never got the character development that they deserved.
"Stone" Characters

Number 11: The fan Children
Yes, i have my OWN fan children for characters, but i dont make them children version of the parents, i at least give them unique traits.
